Domestic automakers will gain from gas mileage increases.

America's Big Three auto companies keep losing market share to foreign companies that make more fuel efficient cars. But a recent study by the University of Michigan's Transportation Research Institute found that improvemed vehicle mileage performance would generate more revenue for U.S. automakers.
